Equine-Assisted Therapy

Equine-Assisted Therapy is delivered by an allied health professional such as a Counsellor with specialised training in the area. Sessions integrate horses into focused counselling sessions designed to achieve therapeutic objectives, promoting emotional well-being and positive mental health.

Effectively, the sessions are counselling sessions with horses as a therapeutic tool.

Looks like: Emotional recognition & regulation, learning effective communication skills, self-awareness, building trust, confidence building, self- esteem building, learning coping strategies.

The non-judgemental and unconditional acceptance that horses and animals offer creates a safe and supportive environment that allows individuals to explore their emotions and be their authentic selves.
